We suspect that Gypsies were not really welcome in 1912 when this was mailed, but it did make for a great card. Note the spare use of color. My grandmother would not allow my mother to leave their yard in Flanagan, Illinois when Gypsies were camped outside that town in the late 1930's and early 1940's.
